I started my bike ride from Delhi towards Meerut which was our first stop at Chotiwala Restaurant. Reaching the breakfast spot where everyone was waiting for me, which took an hour and a half. The roads were wet, but I maintained my speed and arrived on time despite the downpour. I left my bike there and hopped onto one of the vehicles to continue my journey toward Rishikesh with the group.

Kanatal Temperature in monsoon drops down and brings heavy rainfall in the area, after which the place looks refreshed and blooming, so the reason to visit Kanatal was clear. We wanted to see the lush green beauty of that place. As the ride was immediately converted into a road trip and the convoy of our vehicles entered Rishikesh the twists and turns began. When our convoy reached Kanatal (at an altitude of 8500 ft), it was still dark outside; however, there was nothing dark about our moods or spirits which started soaring higher with every step we took towards our campsite “The Kanatal Orchard” overlooking the Himalayas from all directions.

The best time to visit Kanatal is from October through to November as the weather is usually mild and warm, with very little rainfall. However, this is also the high season for tourism so expect prices of accommodation and activities to be higher.
