Anna Lyzhova
HOD of Accounting, Analysis and Audit at Kazan Federal University
Associate Professor Anna Lyzhova is the Head of Department of Accounting, Analysis and Audit at Kazan Federal University, Institute of Management, Economics and Finance. She is a PHD and her PhD thesis focused on accounting for investments in human capital in professional sports organizations. She is currently working on a doctoral thesis on sustainability disclosure in non-financial reporting.
She has received several awards for her work including the esteemed President of the Russian Federation Award for Talented Youth (2011) and the title of "Best Accountant of Russia" (2011). Recognized for expertise in IFRS accounting standards, "Top IFRS PROFESSIONAL" rating and participated in the prestigious "Leaders of Russia" management competition. Additionally, she actively contributes to various organizations, including the "Russian Znanie" society and the "Russian Military Historical Society", and holds editorial board positions in respected journals.
Anna Lyzhova is an educator with 12 years of experience lecturing in bachelor's and master's programs at Kazan Federal University. As academic director for "Accounting, Analysis and Auditing" and "Audit and Performance Management" bachelor's degrees, she plays a pivotal role in shaping accounting education. Her teaching covers a wide range of subjects, including accounting, financial reporting, strategic leadership, financial consulting, and fraud audit. Notably, she integrates cutting-edge topics like sustainable development, ESG practices, and integrated reporting into her master's level courses.
Anna Lyzhova is actively involved in shaping research agendas in financial and non-financial reporting. Anna has published 1 monograph, 2 textbooks, and over 80 scientific papers, including 18 articles in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (H-Index 5). She is collaborating with Lokesh Joshi on a book titled "All You Need to Know: ESG."
